How do I configure a Travan Tape Drive on SCO Unix?

Tell "mkdev tape" that it is a DAT.

BTW, my personal experience with these has not been good. I do not recommend them.

A lot of old SCO systems configured by VARS used these because the units were cheap (the tapes were not, but that became the customers problem). The reliability was abysmal and of course often the customer only realized that when they needed to restore very important data and could not.

See Tape Errors - Openserver 5.0.7 for more on Travan drives.
