Articles, Tips, How-To's

The best way to find anything is to use the Search Engines. The listings below are convenient, but do not include all the material available here.

Help, I'm disappearing! Google Maps insists that my address simply does not exist. Indeed, if I summon up a map of the town, the whole street has disappeared! It's still visible in the satellite view, as is my house and even the golf cart parked in my driveway, but the map view shows empty space.
Inexplicable errors My first reaction was "yes, Windows". I don't have a lot of strange or inexplicable things happen on my Mac. Larry goes on to point out that nowadays most people assume they have a virus or spyware infection, but in fact, it just may be the crappy (my sentiment, not Larry's) way that Windows is designed. As Larry explains, Windows XP is mostly single threaded, which is a problem in and of itself, but he also hints at a larger problem
Google Adds Source Links Google recently added source page info to its Webmaster Tools reports. Previously, when Google reported 404 errors while crawling your site, you had no idea where to look: it could have come from an error in your own pages or someone else's, but Google didn't say. Now they do.
