Linux|Unix 2.6 Over the last several years, the Linux operating system has gained acceptance as the operating system of choice in many scientific and commercial environments, respectively. Today, the performance aspects of the Linux operating system has improved significantly, as compared to traditional UNIX flavors.
Another SCO box Yesterday I had an emergency call from one of my few remaining SCO customers. The system had crashed and the monitor was showing "No input".
Microsoft Fans can be touchy Did you happen to catch Bill Gates talk at TED ? I'm no fan of Mr. Bill, so I approached that with a lot of built in prejudice, but I really tried to give him a fair hearing. Unfortunately I was in a bad mood just after reading the "About Bill Gates" blurb.
