SCO Marketplace and Skunkware
SCO's Skunkware has always ben somewhat of a disappointment. While it does fulfill the promise of binary ports of third party software, the ports have often been horribly out of date and also often suffer from undocumented dependencies that frustrate the non-technical user who just wants to update his Sendmail or Apache.
Windows death? So far I have no argument. They then go on to say "In this world, Adobe and Microsoft may be the new OS providers" (though admitting that Apple could be a player also). The envisioned world is what Microsoft is now calling "cloud computing"
Twelve or more things I still want in Gmail I wrote about this way back in February of 2006, and Google has added some of the things I wanted (like 'Undo"), but Gmail still lacks some things I think are important, so I'll bring it up yet again. Feel free to add anything on your wish list..
