CTRL-R

Tcsh uses ESC-P and there are differences: with bash, hit CTRL-R and THEN what you want, with tcsh, type the first part of the command and then ESC-P. Note that ESC-P matches command lines that BEGIN with what you type; CTRL-R matches anywhere.
