I just received a mail telling me that "Microsoft will pay" if I forward it. How stupid does one have to be to believe this? I hate to hazard a guess, as it was from a relative. Here is my response:

No, I'm not a "Microsoft Windows user", [name removed] - and that
is why my email program is capable of formatting text properly and
doesn't break continuous text into three lines and get the threading
wrong into the bargain.
Besides that, I don't choose to use an insecure operating system.
If you are tempted to forward these things, [name removed], first do two things:
1. Check the validity of the information:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&client=safari&rls=en&q=22microsoft+will+pay22&btnG=Search
2. If whatever you want to send does check out, remove the addresses
of previous recipients to avoid spreading personal information.
