Hello!

After one month of testing I want to announce mozilla 1.1 for SCO=20
OpenServer 5.0.5. It can be downloaded from:=20
ftp://ftp.aubi.de/pub/OSR5/SCO-5.0.5 with 2 supplementary already=20
compiled libraries: gettext-0.11.5-sco.tgz and libiconv-1.8-sco.tgz.=20
mozilla_1.1-i686-pc-sco3.2v5.0.5.tar.gz should be unpacked to=20
/opt/mozilla directory, everything else to /usr/local. Apart this,=20
Glib-1.5 package from Skunkware is required (for glib-1.2.3 and gtk).=20
There is also a flash plugin - libnpflash.so, compiled from flash-0.4.10 =

by Olivier Debon. Unfortunately it doesn't work well on OSR5. This is=20
rather to demonstrate that it is at all possible. It works, but on some=20
pages "freezes" mozilla and makes using it very inconvenient. More=20
information can be found in mozilla-readme.txt file. The mozilla itself=20
is not so stable as on linux, but I'm sure I will not use netscape 4.7=20
anymore.
There is also another browser: links version 0.98. This one is for=20
character terminals. It is really excelent: supports frames and tables,=20
very fast and reliable. Colors doesn't work on OpenServer, but this is=20
the only problem I have found. It consists of one file and fits on=20
floppy! Cooperates very well with Midnight Commander (I use 4.5.50 ver.)

I want to thank Markus D=F6hr for mozilla patches and a place on his serv=
er.

Many of the products and books I review are things I purchased for my own use. Some were given to me specifically for the purpose of reviewing them.

I resell or can earn commissions from the sale of some of these items. Links within these pages may be affiliate links that pay me for referring you to them. That's mostly insignificant amounts of money; whenever it is not I have made my relationship plain. I also may own stock in companies mentioned here.
